In response the devastation brought upon the Gulf Coast by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Federal Emergency Management Agency placed hundreds of thousands of Americans in temporary housing. This includes roughly 120,000 travel trailers.
What was designed to be a temporary solution may in fact be causing permanent health problems for these trailer home residents. It has been reported that the materials in these FEMA trailers emit excessive amounts of formaldehyde, a flammable, acrid smelling gas that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency considers to be a potential human carcinogen. No one should be living in a place where there is such a threat to their health.
Here at Rodney & Etter we are concerned first and foremost with getting you and your loved ones out of the FEMA trailers and into safe housing. If you are a victim of formaldehyde poisoning from your FEMA trailer and you wish to consult with a lawyer to learn about your options, or if you just want to find more about the situation, please fill our our questionnaire to tell us your story. You deserve to live in a home that will not make you sick.
